It can be really hard in puppy obedience training when you have a puppy that barks and barks and you can’t make him stop.

Usually if you tell your puppy to stop, or use other words like ‘hush’ or ’shhh’ in a firm voice he will quiet down, however sometimes he will just refuse to obey.

It is still important to have patience and try to understand why your puppy is barking instead of just getting angry and punishing your little dog.

It is enjoyable for dogs to bark and they will do it just for fun; to teach him to stop this you can pull his leash while you are leash training when he begins barking unnecessarily.

Dogs don’t always bark just for fun, however, and there are several reasons your puppy might bark and bark.

Remember that if your puppy is barking, you yell at him for it, and he barks right back… he may think this is a fun game to play with you!

You may try to ignore the barking and say nothing, so that without any attention he quiets down.

You can choose a reward such as a sausage or a favorite biscuit to give your puppy once he stops barking, to encourage him to stop barking for longer amounts of time.

It is important for these dogs to have plenty of physical activity in order to keep them healthy and happy.
